New in July - From Cummings' Camera

PFC Branden Cummings was killed in action on Feb. 14, 2007.

The pictures on this page were taken from his camera after it was returned to his family. They give us the unique opportunity to look through the lense of Branden's camera and to see what he saw... both the Iraqi landscape and life with his brothers in the platoon.

The photos are posted in approximate order of the time they were taken, starting in November, 2006 all the way through a few days before his death in February 2007. Because of the large number of pictures, they are posted on two seperate pages. This is part two. Be sure to look at part one.

When Nathan was home on R&R in January, I sent back a set of horseshoes with him. The stakes were too large to send, but he took the horseshoes, figuring they'd find something that would work for stakes. He told me that Branden was the one who found the stakes and set up the horseshoe pits at the Iraqi Army compound where they spent a lot of time. These pits are sort of a memorial to him.
